Nurses Moving Forward

Who we are:

We are nurses and strategic partners promoting nurse innovation.. “Innovation with Heart!”

What we do:

We raise awareness, inspire involvement and ignite action of nurse innovation.

Nurses Moving Forward provides an online magazine, networking membership forum and business platform for promoting nurse innovation, entrepreneurship, business and well being.

Why:

The Story of Nurses Moving Forward

Sparked by a conversation between a diversely seasoned nurse and a nursing student that lead to more exciting chatter with other nursing students and colleagues. Then the realization that many nurses were asking the same questions:

  • Why aren’t there any jobs?
  • What’s happening in nursing?
  • What can I do if I can’t get two (recent) years med-surg experience first?
  • Not working as a nurse for 5 years negates my prior 15 active years, so I am not a nurse any more?
  • Don’t we need more nurses?

The exploration and research that followed, lead to The Big Question!

“WHAT’S GOING ON IN NURSING & WHY DON”T NURSES KNOW?“

The nurse was inspired to help solve the problem

  1. Nurses are not informed
  2. Nurses are not involved
  3. Nurses are not leading

NURSES MOVING FORWARD was envisioned.

Then there was the exciting discovery that now is the Kairos for nurses! So, Nurses Moving Forward Platform and Community was created.

We launched in 2014 to leverage the natural force of Kairos, an “opportune moment in time” for Nurses to grow and flourish as entrepreneurs, innovators, leaders, inventors and business owners for the health and well being of themselves, their families, communities and humanity.

How:

The aim is to cultivate a high integrity active community of nurses with various wonderful talents and ideas.

To encourage and facilitate innovation in nurses.

To provide access to relevant and unconventional information via the online magazine, inspirational newsletter, blog, webinars and tele-seminars with guest speakers, authors, leaders, inventors, business owners, visionaries offering information, products, services, education and opportunities so nurses can be informed.

To provide a networking membership and vision forum featuring compelling stories, interviews, ideas, challenges, education, inspiration and opportunity for nurses who want to move forward, be healthy in mind, body and spirit, exemplify health, inspire health and innovate for the caring for health including self, family, community nature and our world so nurses can be involved.

To provide a business platform for innovative nurses to promote their business or them self; attract clients, connections and partners; network, teach, learn, inspire, communicate and lead.

To champion nurses to live their best lives.

To network with successful, high integrity people to teach, model and mentor  with the knowledge, skills and relationships to help nurses discover, evolve and succeed as healthy and prosperous innovators.

To facilitate the growth of virtues in the world of business and  true caring for health one nurse at a time through self care first.

To bring the spirit of the heart of a nurse and innovation together for life enhancing benefits through ideas, products, services, models, systems and more.

To create a venue of merit for networking qualified nurse innovators and qualified philanthropists, foundations and businesses where missions meet visions.

Foundational principles include:

“A healing of one being is a healing of all beings.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
