Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) today announced it has sold Gannett
Healthcare Group (GHG) to OnCourse Learning, an online education
and training provider. GHG is a leading provider of continuing education,
certification test preparation, online recruitment, digital media, publications
and related services for nurses and other healthcare professionals in the

Gannette Healthcare Group “will become a new business unit within the OnCourse Learning portfolio” according to OnCourse. Highlighted on OnCourse Learning’s website is their own history as “as a leading provider of professional training, education and certification solutions in regulated markets”.
The benefits of the acquisition according to Melyni Serpa President & Chief Executive Officer of Gannett Healthcare Group include ” to better serve our customers and accelerate growth within our healthcare markets”. And further, the resulting partnership will provide “the same high level of partnership, products and services that they have come to expect from GHG.”
