- Charlotte McGuire Education Scholarship ProgramUndergraduate and Graduate Nursing StudentsThese awards are a monetary scholarship to members who are pursuing their nursing education. AHNA members enrolled in nursing programs at any level (ADN, BSN, MSN, PhD/DNS) or graduate programs that enhance the practice of holistic nursing may apply. These awards are worth $500 each.Criteria:Undergraduate Nursing Students Award To recognize and celebrate nurses in an undergraduate academic setting dedicated to a practice of holistic nursing.
- Current R.N. licensure
- Current active member of AHNA for a minimum of six (6) months
- Enrolled in an undergraduate academic setting dedicated to a practice of holistic nursing
- Ability to incorporate self-care into personal and professional life
- A demonstrated commitment to holistic nursing practice and its philosophical base

Graduate Nursing Students Award
To recognize and celebrate nurses in a graduate academic setting dedicated to a practice of holistic nursing.
- Current R.N. licensure
- Current active member of AHNA for a minimum of one (1) year
- Enrolled in a graduate academic setting dedicated to a practice of holistic nursing
- Ability to incorporate self-care into personal and professional life
- A demonstrated commitment to holistic nursing practice and its philosophical base
- Proven commitment to advancing Holistic Nursing using Leadership Skills.

Full-tuition scholarships are available for NNU members interested in building global solidarity with those who share RN values of caring, compassion, and community. To apply for a full-tuition scholarship for a course, please submit a short essay (250 to 500 words) describing how the topic of the course will inform your RN patient advocacy. - Excellence in Holistic Nursing Education Award This award is intended to reward and recognize schools, programs, and departments of nursing that offer a degree in nursing that exhibit an exceptional, substantive and innovative curriculum in holistic nursing education. These schools have incorporated the philosophy and Core Values of Holism into their entire curriculum/course with innovative curriculum design, teaching, and evaluation methods, and encourage the highest standards of holistic nursing education. Criteria:
To provide curriculum models of excellence that encourage the highest standards of holistic nursing education and to accord national recognition to those eligible schools and programs of nursing that exhibit an exceptional, substantive and innovative curriculum in holistic nursing education. 1. Incorporation of philosophy, competencies and core values delineated in the Holistic Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice 2nd Edition (2013), throughout the entire curriculum and/or into a stand-alone course
2. Innovation of approaches to curriculum design, teaching and evaluation methods
3. Clinical experiences across the care continuum focusing on the holistic nature and needs of people
4. Potential for replication in, and dissemination to, other schools/programs/departments of nursing
5. A fully accredited Nursing Program at the national level: NLNAC or AACN
6. Nomination from an AHNA member
7. Nomination from an individual outside the applicant’s organization
